Who doesn’t like a little flush in the cheeks? I do–but honestly–blush never stays on my cheeks! I’ve tried powder blush, I’ve tried stick blush, even resorted to my grandma’s old trick–lipstick as blush! Whatever type of blush I choose…a couple hours later, it’s gone and I’m paler than ever.
I have read about lip and cheek stains for years, so figured they were worth a try. Benefit Cosmetics makes a rose-colored lip and cheek stain called Benetint that I’ve read about in several fashion rags. At first, I was alarmed by the color of it–it seemed so bright! Also, it’s in a bottle not unlike nail polish, with the wand brush and all.
You apply it by painting 3 stripes on the apples of your cheeks, then rub it in on the apples of your cheeks, and voila! It gives you the nicest flush, and I find that it lasts longer than the powder or cream blushes I’ve tried! I am officially a convert to cheek stain.
Technically, Benetint is known as a lip and cheek stain, and we love multitasking products at Cool Mama Style. If makeup can do double duty, that saves us busy moms time and effort. For the lips, rub on a bit of tint and a dab of gloss, and your pout is center stage.
